On September 2nd and 3rd, the CEO Commission partners convened in Washington, D.C. for their highly anticipated 3rd Annual Employment Summit and Hill Day. The Summit took place at the Microsoft Innovation and Policy Center, running from 1:00 PM to 8:30 PM, and was masterfully hosted by CEO Commission Executive Director Rob Snow. The day was packed with education, inspiration, and meaningful collaboration.
Sessions explored key topics such as inclusive employment practices, cultivating a disability-friendly workplace culture, and a strategic blueprint for developmental disability employment. Attendees also prepared for the next day’s Hill Day advocacy efforts.
The evening featured a lively reception sponsored by the Caring Consulting Group and NYSID, followed by a dinner highlighted by an electrifying keynote from Keely Cat-Wells. Her powerful message and lived experience in disability advocacy left the audience deeply moved and energized.
Hill Day proved equally impactful, with 10 advocacy teams engaging nearly 40 congressional offices to champion legislation supporting disability employment. The momentum and passion carried through both days, marking another milestone in the Commission’s mission to advance inclusive workforce opportunities.
